Most Innovative Public Sector Project

It could be argued that nowhere is value for money more important than in the public sector. Yet, for many years, public sector procurement was criticised for being too rigid and reinforcing the same old ways of doing things.

However, the government has stated its aim to move away from an over-reliance on traditional methods, with the new seven-year funding framework from the Crown Commercial Service for the construction, refurbishment, repair and demolition of public buildings emphasising the need for a more diverse supply chain, digitalisation and Modern Methods of Construction.

We want to hear about projects across the public sector that are already putting these principles into practice to deliver better schools, hospitals, homes and civic spaces faster, cheaper and more sustainably than ever before.

Entries into project categories should relate to work completed in the last 12 months or work that is due for completion by end of August 2022.
